The Terrace Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
To Chris who moaned about no lap tops, there is a massive area in library to use, this is the one space where we are encouraged to eat and turn off from study. I am glad policy has no laptops otherwise it would just be full all the time. The area is nice and bright generally staff are pleasant but understand when they have to deal with some rather foolish people they get annoyed. Food choice not the greatest on savoury, and can we just get a plain soup along with the daily fancy one , same applies to toasted sandwich selection. Cake selection is always good as my tummy will testify.
The terrace restaurant is situated in the British Library on the first floor. This has more of a canteen feel than a restaurant. They have essentially set-meals or salads and or soup of the day. The soup I had was very good indeed with a small roll. The drinks and food are reasonably priced overall for central london and of good quality. There is an outside area open in summer. Service was good and there a nice lively atmosphere here. If you are visiting this is somewhere that is worthwhile eating at if you require.
Absolutly fantastic. I don't know what everyone else in on about. P.S. actually, the warm meal was only lukewarm, hot would have been way better!
